We believe in honesty, integrity, and doing what’s right. With a strong background in landscape design, knowledge of product lines, and years of training in design, installation, and repairs, we’ve developed a thorough understanding of our services and the best way to achieve the vision you have for your landscape lighting. We’ve worked with many clients over the years, and understand that everyone’s needs are different. We’ll take the time to listen to you and get an understanding of the effect you want to accomplish, even if you aren’t quite sure what that is yet.
Our Process
Whether you’re looking for full service landscape lighting design and installation, or you’re requesting maintenance on your existing lighting, start by contacting us via phone or online. In the case of a service call, it may be something simple we can fix over the phone. Let us know what you’re looking for and what your needs are, then we’ll provide our own evaluation and recommendations.
For design and installation services, we’ll start with an assessment of your home or commercial building. Together we’ll walk through your property so you can show us exactly what you want, and we’ll provide our own feedback and advice. Together we’ll come up with a plan that fits your needs. After the initial assessment, we’ll design a lighting plan just for you.

We can design landscape lighting to be installed all at once or in stages to fit your budget. Just let us know what you’re looking for and what your needs are, and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate.
ABOUT ME
Mike Boland
I’m Mike Boland, the founder of Custom Landscape Lighting. I’m originally from Connecticut, but was drawn to the beautiful seasons and scenery of North Carolina. Coming from the landscape design business, I always loved seeing the effects of what we built, and the clients’ surprise at how amazing it looked, especially at night. I designed and installed my first landscape lighting in 1988, and Custom Landscape Lighting has been in business in the Triad for 17 years.
The best part of my job is my clients’ first reaction to their new lighting installation, or hearing from them when they tell me how much they still enjoy their lighting design years later!
